RESIZING YOUR IMAGE FOR ENTRY
TO PREPARE IMAGES FOR ONLINE ENTRY PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
• Make a copy of your original photo to apply the resizing criteria.
• File size no larger than 4MB
• Set image resolution first to 300 ppi.
• Then size to 1,280 pixels on the longest side with the other side, width or height, proportional. A smaller size may result in an image too small for the judges to properly view.
• Check the overall size of the file and lower the ppi if the file size exceeds 4MB.
• JPG, TIF or PNG formats only

Having trouble getting your digital file size down to a reasonable size?
First re-size the original file to a smaller size: for example, re-size your larger file from your camera to an 8 x 10 format size and then export as a 300ppi, 1,280ppi file on the longest side. This will ensure that your file size is small enough to be submitted using the Smarter Entry system without difficulty.
