The InFocus Committee reserves the right to change the category if they deem it necessary. You are encouraged to enter color or black and white in any of the categories. 1. LANDSCAPES
These images depict an expanse of scenery. The subject is the scenery and not individual elements of the scene. These photos include but are not limited to landscapes, outdoor scenics, sunsets, and farms.

2. COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE
Photograph a scene or subject that is predominantly one color. Color and subject matter of your choice.

3. CLOSE-UP
Close-up. A picture taken with the subject close to the camera. The classic close- up is about getting detail. That usually means getting right into the subject. Close up photography is the act of photographing objects such as flowers or insects in close range so the subject you are photographing fills the frame.

4. NATURE
This category refers to a range of photography taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as plants, flowers, trees and close-ups of natural scenes and textures. It also includes animals in any setting – wild, domestic, farm, zoo, birds, sea life, insects, etc.

5. STILL LIFE/FOUND OBJECT
Images in this category may depict mostly inanimate subject matter. They are typically commonplace objects which may be either natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, shells, etc.) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). Still life often suggests an arrangement of objects by the photographer but this category also includes the more spontaneous discovery of everyday objects in their given environment.
